It is important to use proper office and personal hygiene to protect yourself and the patient as well as for good practice management. Patients do not want to come to an office that is not clean or have someone that has not washed their hands put lenses on their eyes.
Be sure the counter tops, sinks and all equipment is clean. Routinely wash down areas with a disinfecting solution.
Wash your hands in the presence of the patient prior to touching the contact lenses and the patient.
